While Stephen Curry has been trying to do everything in his hands to lead the Golden State Warriors to victories, Klay Thompson has struggled. The Splash Bros are the biggest hope for the Dubs to win the 2022 NBA championship, even if they have other players like Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins on the roster.

The duo was expected to light up the Boston Celtics in the first two games of the series. Curry did it to some extent in the first game, before showing he’s not done in Game 2 to secure a blowout win over the C’s.

Meanwhile, Klay has only scored 26 points in the first two matches of the series. Game 3 is very important in a best-of-seven duel, and Klay is hoping to bring his A-game to TD Garden. His shooting slump has raised some concerns around the league, but he’s confident he can turn things around.

Talking with reporters on Tuesday morning, the shooting guard explained that this isn’t new for him, and he’s ready to fire back.

“It’s nothing I’m not used to,” Thompson said, via Sports Illustrated. “I’ve been through shooting slumps before and the best part is how you respond. So, come Game 3, I’m probably not going to do much differently, rather just play with great pace and hunt great shots because when I tend to do that, I tend to have a big night.

“Most importantly, you know, it feels good going 4-19 and winning by 20. I rather do that than go 13-19 and lose by 10.”

Moreover, in Klay fashion, he revealed his plans to get out of this slump. He will go watch videos of the best games of one of the greatest shooters of all time: himself.

“I’ll probably just YouTube ‘Game 6 Klay’ because there’s some very high pressurized situations I was in and I ended up shooting the ball well,” Thompson added. “When you can do it when your back is up against the wall, you know you can do it at any given moment.”

Klay knows where the solution to this problem is, and he already used it. We’re one day away from Game 3, where we’ll discover if watching his old videos helped Thompson or if he has to find another solution to this issue. The Warriors will try to get back their home-court advantage with a win over the Celtics, and Klay will be there, trying to shock the world once again.
