NBA Rumors: Knicks Could Trade For Devin Booker

2 Min Read

The New York Knicks are trying to change course and their new President, Leon Rose, is leading the charge. Seemingly aiming for a low-key, drama-free tenure, Rose was brought on for his connections and his brilliant basketball mind.

And while it remains to be seen what he can do, one particular link is generating a lot of buzz in the Big Apple. See, before he became President of Basketball operations in New York, Rose was a player agent with his most notable client being Suns’ young guard, Devin Booker.

This connection has many thinking a potential partnership could be in the works between Booker and the Knicks.

Booker has shown no public interest in leaving the Suns, but it would make a lot of sense. They are a small-market franchise that has not been able to build a suitable, contending team around their star. They have a bad history and an owner with a poor reputation.

While the Knicks don’t offer much in terms of winning, at least Book would be able to play on the biggest stage in the world: New York City. One has to think that with new management, and Book’s presence, the Knicks would be more equipped to turn things around and lure in another star.

Needless to say, however, the Knicks aren’t the only team in pursuit of Booker. If they want him, they’ll have to offer up a strong, lucrative package. It will be interesting to see if they can pull it off.
