Kobe Bryant Couldn’t Help But Laugh When Steph Curry Made A Three In Front Of Him

Steph Curry has a genuine claim to the title of most influential player in NBA history. With his excellent ability from beyond the arc, Curry has established himself as the greatest shooter in NBA history.

But on top of that, Curry is also greatly responsible for the NBA’s increased reliance on the three-point shot. Because of how well Curry was converting his shots, many NBA teams began to shoot more from beyond the arc in order to maximize their scoring.

Curry came into the NBA with very little fanfare. He was the 7th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. After a successful stint with Davidson, the Golden State Warriors selected him, hoping that he could provide scoring.

Curry turned out to be one of the greatest players in NBA history. Drafting Curry set the Warriors on track to win three NBA championships between 2015 and 2019.

On top of that, Curry ended up winning 2 MVP titles, including becoming the only unanimous MVP in league history.

Before Curry became a bonafide superstar in the NBA, he and Kobe Bryant faced off several times in the Western Conference. And on one occasion, Kobe got to see what many others would throughout Steph’s career.

During a game between the Lakers and the Warriors, Curry was being guarded by Kobe. Kobe was a great defender in his own right. But that didn’t stop Curry from draining a shot right in his face.

Despite Kobe’s defense, the ball went in with ease. Seeing Curry’s proficiency, Kobe couldn’t do anything but laugh and give Curry his props. It was a true moment of respect between two of the NBA’s best.

Curry became an undeniable superstar in the NBA. But perhaps one of the first people to get a glimpse of that was none other than Kobe Bryant.
