Kyle Kuzma On The Lakers When LeBron James And Anthony Davis Return: “It’s Going To Be Scary For People When Those Guys Get Back”

Kyle Kuzma has issued a warning for the rest of the NBA ahead of LeBron James and Anthony Davis’ returns to action with the Los Angeles Lakers. The forward has tried to take the reins of the team after the two best players went down with injuries and the Lakers have managed to survive in the last couple of games.

As the days go by, we get closer to see James and Davis back in action and Kuzma made it clear they are going to be as or more dangerous as before. The Lakers are still one of the best four teams in the West but Kuz believes they will have a lot to say once their star duo is back on the court.

“We got champions on the roster and we got hard playing players that really want it,” Kuzma said after the win against the Charlotte Hornets. “I think we’ve done a great job in the past few games of really figuring out how to win games together, figuring out how to play with one another, and figuring out how to get wins. That’s what togetherness and being tied together.

“I think during this stretch we’ve been really great defensively not having our voice out there with Bron and someone that just erases mistakes with AD out there. For us to continue to do that without having those guys out there it’s going to be scary for people when those guys get back. That’s given us confidence.

“I think offensively we’re really been subpar, honestly. We’re just trying to make slides, make strides on that end, and just trying to weather the storm. Doing as much as we can. To be four and three on this road trip, that’s a win for us.”

Bron and AD were the keys for the Lakers to win the NBA championship last year and they are expected to play a big role this season, too. They will need their star duo to try to make a run at the Finals again, especially in a Western Conference that has several improved teams that will try to dethrone the Lakers.
