Kyle Lowry Lauds Marcus Smart’s Game: “That Man Plays Extremely Hard. You Have To Tip Your Hat To Somebody Like him. You Know What He’s Going To Do Every Single Night. You Know He’s Going To Bring It.”

Kyle Lowry and Marcus Smart are currently going head to head to take their teams to the Eastern Conference Finals. After the Boston Celtics took a 2-0 lead, the Raptors tied the series with two good victories, including one with a buzzer-beater by OG Anunoby. Lowry and Smart have similar styles of play; they are scrappy, they won’t mind coming at you trying to get under your skin. These two always play hard and that’s something remarkable.

Even though they are going through an on-court battle, Lowry has praised Smart for his intensity and the things he brings to the table every single night. That could earn him a lot of criticism towards Smart, but for Lowry, things are different. He respects Smart for his personality and didn’t try to hide it after Game 4. While talking to reporters, the 2019 NBA champion praised his rival.

“I don’t think he’s trying to get under anybody’s skin. I think that’s how he plays, man. That man plays extremely hard. You have to tip your hat to somebody like him. You know what he’s going to do every single night. You know he’s going to bring it.”

Now that the series is tied and Game 5 is a very important game for these series, we will probably see more intensity from both Smart and Lowry. The Raptors and Celtics were considered the biggest threat to the Milwaukee Bucks before the Miami Heat did all the things they’re doing and this hard-fought series proves that they are ready to compete with anybody to make it to the Finals.

Game 5 will take place on Monday and we expect to see another great matchup between these two teams and of course, between Lowry and Smart.
