Kyrie Irving has long been regarded as one of the most electrifying players that you can watch in the modern NBA. His dribbling skill-set is absolutely sensational and not many players can finish around the rim like Kyrie. Whenever he gets on the court and shows his full arsenal, people forget about whatever issues off the court are plaguing him.

Kyrie put his ability to full use in his recent ‘More Than A Game; event held at Kean University in New Jersey. Irving was eliciting loud responses from the crowd of fans in the audience as he made tough finishes at the rim, created great plays, and showed off his handles.

Everything that Irving did was challenged by local players and defenders who did their best but just couldn’t stop Irving from being a basketball wizard on the court. Clips like these further reinforce the ability that Irving has and why he should be a valuable player on any team in the league based on skill-set alone.

Another clip of Irving finishing with a hop-step at the rim went viral for how Irving controlled the pace of that move. He kept one defender on his hip and the trailing defender couldn’t time his block correctly to stop the gentle but deadly shot that Irving had thrown up.

The pure hooping ability that Irving brings to the NBA court is very hard to replicate. There is a reason why Irving, even after being out of rhythm last season, could have a 60-point game against NBA defenders.

If the Nets have Irving and Kevin Durant back for next season, no matter the questions around them should be looked at as title contenders. That is purely because of what Irving can do on the court alongside the gifted skill-set of Kevin Durant. If they have the right rotational pieces around them, the Nets may actually be saved from the situation they are in.
