The Los Angeles Lakers have been heavily criticized throughout the season, as they have been unable to be that top-tier many envisioned at the start of the season. Despite all the inconsistency this year, one of the things that the Los Angeles Lakers could rely on is LeBron James performing at a high level.

Recently, LeBron James put up a 50 point performance against the Washington Wizards, which resulted in Los Angeles Lakers winning 122-109. Many fans congratulated him for that performance, and it’s clear that what LeBron James is doing right now is pure greatness.

Even at the age of 37, LeBron James is still dominant and one of the best players in the entire league. He is widely viewed as the GOAT of this era of basketball, and some even have him over Michael Jordan as the greatest ever. One of those people is Pistons legend, Isiah Thomas.

“I can speak from experience, and I can speak factually and accurately. I’m on that list, Kareem’s on that list, Magic’s on that list and I say all-around player, by the time LeBron James is done, he is the only player in the history of our game that will probably be ranked top-10 or top-five in every single statistical category. Never been done before. Now we’ve had some players who dominate as a scorer, or dominate the boards, but we have never ever ever in my lifetime or anyone else’s who is so thoroughly dominant in every category.

“When I say LeBron James is the GOAT, here’s what I mean. When you talk about he and Kareem in terms of their 20-year dominance, both of them have been able to touch every single aspect of the sport and also be leaders in that category.”

This was definitely an impressive performance from LeBron James. While the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t having success on a team level, it is clear that LeBron James is doing his best to elevate them into being a more competitive game.

With LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers have a chance of winning on any given night. There’s still a chance they could make the playoffs via the play-in tournament, and we’ll have to wait to see if they’re able to do so.
