Lakers Fans Concerned About LeBron’s MVP Bid After League-wide Suspension

1 Min Read

With the NBA shutdown, the 2020 playoff race is all but over for teams like the Pelicans, Blazers, Kings, and Spurs — who were looking to make a late run for the eighth seed. With no real answer as to how soon action will return, or if it will return at all this year, their season is likely over.

Meanwhile, the two-horse race for MVP might have also seen an abrupt end, much to the frustration of some Lakers fans. One person went so far as to call it “unfair” in a radio call-in line about the subject.

Of course, he wasn’t the only one. Many fans spoke up on Twitter about James’ status as MVP this season.

LeBron has obviously had to face a lot of physical and emotional challenges, including his own age and Kobe’s devastating passing. But Giannis has had to deal with a lot of things as well, and he seems to be doing more with less.

Either way, there are bigger things at stake with this Coronavirus than the MVP trophy. LeBron and Giannis probably understand that more than anyone.
