LeBron James is one of the most popular players in the league today. The face of the NBA for almost 2 decades now, James has his fair share of fans. But conversely, he does also have his detractors, those who do not like him and cannot stand to see him successful.

A lot of the resentment toward James dates back to 2010 when he infamously left the Cavaliers in free agency to join the Miami Heat. This move made James the villain of the NBA, a role he would assume till 2016 when Kevin Durant’s departure to the Golden State Warriors earned him the role of villain.

Regardless of the reasons, James is one of the most despised players in the NBA. And when James goes to hostile environments, he is the subject of insults and heckling from the fans. And from time to time, James chooses to respond to them with the same vitriol. Here are some of his best comebacks, courtesy of NBA County.

“Your lady is embarrassed to be with you.”

“You mad or nah? You should be mad at your shoes you picked out?”

“Wah Wah Wah”

“I hope that ain’t your girl next to you because she’s filming me, bum.”

Despite James returning to Cleveland and winning an NBA championship for them, many fans saw the move as weak. In fact, fans blame James for the super team era, blaming him for teaming up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami, and giving way for teams like the Warriors, and now the Brooklyn Nets to dominate the NBA.

Even though there had been superteams in the past like the 2000s Lakers, 2000s Spurs, and the 2008 Boston Celtics, LeBron was blamed for the superteam era because he exercised his right as a player to join forces with his friends in free agency.

While the hate toward James may never reduce, it is fun to see him respond to fans in a hilarious, yet harmless manner.
