• Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has teased his latest shoe design

• The shoe will likely launch before the season begins to commemorate James’ 21st season in the NBA

• The featured shoe had a brown colorway

The start of the 2023-24 season inches closer with every passing day. As the calendar flips to August, we’re officially just two months away from the start of the season, with the FIBA World Cup and training camp to tide us over until then.

With the season on the horizon, LeBron James has begun the rollout of his new Nike signature shoe, the ‘LeBron 21’ ahead of his 21st season in the NBA. The Instagram snippet featured a brown colorway with an interesting design.

LeBron had a troubling time in the last week due to Bronny James’ cardiac arrest. He has started to ease himself back into social life and media, going out for a public dinner with his family while also training with Bryce James.

LeBron James Hoping To Lead The Lakers To A Title

The Los Angeles Lakers will have high hopes this year after finally putting together a strong roster around LeBron and Anthony Davis. The additions of Gabe Vincent, Taurean Prince, Jaxson Hayes, Jalen-Hood Schifino, and Cam Reddish are serviceable upgrades on outgoing stars Dennis Schroder, Lonnie Walker IV, Troy Brown Jr., and Wenyen Gabriel.

The Lakers also re-signed their valuable free agents, Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and Rui Hachimura to keep the nucleus of the team that made it to the Western Conference Finals.

In my opinion, the Lakers have made the right additions given what the team needs. They would do well adding another center to bolster their big-man depth. Otherwise, this roster is young and talented enough to bear the brunt of stretches that LeBron or AD miss due to injury or rest. I would put them right behind the Nuggets in the fight in the West, with the Suns, Warriors, and Grizzlies as teams that could outperform them.
