LeBron James credited his wife Savannah for his success after he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the leading scorer in NBA history.

The Los Angeles Lakers may have fallen to the Milwaukee Bucks with James sitting out of the contest, but he did have a chance to celebrate once more with the family and fans in attendance after the Lakers honored the veteran.

James was lavish in his praise for Savannah and said that all of his achievements wouldn't have been possible without his wife's support.

"My beautiful wife, she's the real MVP to be completely honest. She’s actually the All-Time leading scorer.”

It is quite a lovely sight to see James and Savannah's relationship survive and blossom over the two decades that he's played in the NBA. 

Some of the greatest of players have endured failed marriages, but these two have pretty much stood the challenging times, and it was only fair that James said what he felt to his wife with massive respect.

"You are the hardest-working man I know," Savannah James said. "I have witnessed, day in and day out, your dedication and sacrifice and respect of the game every single day. I want you to take this moment and stay present in it. You deserve this. You worked for it. I mean, you did that s**t."

James now sits alone on top with 38,890 career points -- and that will surely continue given his aspirations to play with his son, Bronny James.

The only missing piece is another trophy and with the Lakers making some moves before the deadline, only time will tell if James can add another feather to his cap. Irrespective, he will have Savannah's support.
