• LeBron James shared a story on Instagram with his highlights from the Miami Heat’s three playoff series wins over the Indiana Pacers
• James was at his physical prime in Miami and was inarguably the best player in the world
• James felt bad for fans that didn’t see him play when he was that version of himself
LeBron James is rewriting basketball history with every game he plays, defying all held notions of when a player’s prime is over. While people love saying that James has had a 20-year prime, LeBron is not the same player today that he was 10 years ago when he was in his physical prime.
James shared a fan-made highlight reel with some mind-boggling plays that LeBron feels bad some of his fans couldn’t watch in real time.

The highlights came from his battles in the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Playoffs against the Indiana Pacers.

LeBron is sensational today, but that version of him was unstoppable. He averaged 26.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in his time with Miami, winning two MVPs, two Finals MVPs, two championships, and making the All-Star and All-NBA First Team in all four seasons he spent with the franchise.
LeBron James Almost Had The Perfect Season In 2013
The NBA doesn’t have an exact definition of what ‘the perfect season’ for a player could be. Many believe Hakeem Olajuwon came closest to the perfect season in 1994 when he won MVP, Finals MVP, and Defensive Player of the Year but missed out on the scoring title. James had a very similarly dominant season in 2013.
LeBron won his second title and Finals MVP with the Heat in the 2013 Playoffs, but the regular season was a spectacle to behold. James averaged 26.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 7.3 assists on 56.5% shooting from the field and 40.2% from three. He won MVP and led the Heat to a history-making 27-game win streak but finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting to Marc Gasol.
That decision is still very controversial, as James deserved the award, according to fans. Somehow, the same voters who declared Gasol was the second-best defensive center in the NBA behind Joakim Noah decided to award Gasol the DPOY over LeBron, who had his most complete season in history.
James will retire without a DPOY trophy on his mantle. While he has moved on from that disappointment all these years later, he made sure to remind Gasol of that robbery when they became teammates on the Lakers.
Dwyane Wade Reveals His Reaction When LeBron James Left For The Cavaliers
James was clearly the best individual player in the world, even after the Heat were handled by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2014 Finals. LeBron saw that his Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were declining and took his talents back to Cleveland to bring a title to his hometown.
Dwyane Wade was angry with James for that decision but gave one of his closest friends his blessing before he made the move.
“Was there a part of me that’s a little pissed? Yes. I’m human. I don’t wanna lose the best player in the game. Why did we lose him? Now, I gotta figure out my future. I had given up my stardom and my place for you to step in and help lead us. Bron and I had a conversation about that moment before I went to Cleveland later about how I felt and how he felt. We talked about the moment and moved on from it.”
James would go on to win two more titles with the Cavs and the Lakers to establish his career as one of the greatest in NBA history. He still has accomplishments to hunt down, including the basketball scoring record held by Brazilian Oscar Shmidt and adding a fifth championship ring to his finger, both things he hopes to do this season.
