LeBron James Responds After ‘Squid Game’ Creator Calls Him Out: “This Can’t Be Real, Right?!”

As the biggest show in entertainment right now, “Squid Game” has become all the rage and millions upon millions of people worldwide have seen it.

Even basketball’s biggest star couldn’t resist joining in on the action.

Unfortunately, James apparently wasn’t a fan of the way the first season ended and he even expressed his opinion publicly.

“Yeah, I did finish it,” James said. “You finish it? You watched it? You done? Yeah, I didn’t like the ending though. I know they start it off with a Season 2, but, like, get on the f—— flight and go see your daughter, bro. Like, what are you doing?”

The creator of the show later fired back, issuing a rather aggressive response to a harmless critique by James.

“Have you seen Space Jam 2? LeBron James is cool and can say what he wants,” he said, via the Guardian. “I respect that. I’m very thankful he watched the whole series. But I wouldn’t change my ending. That’s my ending. If he has his own ending that would satisfy him, maybe he could make his own sequel. I’ll check it out and maybe send him a message saying, ‘I liked your whole show, except the ending.’”

Obviously, Hwang Dong-hyuk is less than pleased with James’ statement, and in some ways, it’s understandable given the amount of work it took to make that show.

Still, it can come off to some as extremely defensive, and it seems LeBron is put off by the comment.

Hwang probably meant nothing harmful with his words, and it was may not have been more than a playful jest.

But the back-and-forth between him and LeBron is interesting, especially given the basketball stars’ experience in Hollywood. And as much fun as a LeBron-led “Squid Game” season would be, it’s not going to happen.

It doesn’t mean, however, that James will never write/create his own show someday, which will mean he’ll get to craft his own endings…
