The Los Angeles Lakers continued their poor run last night, losing to the Indiana Pacers. This loss to the Pacers makes it 4 losses out of their last 5 games and has put a lot of pressure on the Lakers. Frank Vogel is on the hot seat once again, especially after his latest loss against his former team.

But LeBron James feels any of that pressure is unfounded, as the Lakers’ coaching staff are not responsible for this poor run. During the post-game press conference, LeBron James said that the Lakers’ coaching staff are not to blame for the way the Lakers have played over this latest run of games.

Frank Vogel will obviously be concerned for his job safety. But recent reports have suggested that the Lakers are not looking to replace Vogel. Plans can always change going forward, but as things stand, Vogel is set to stay as the head coach. But not everyone feels that way.

One former NBA executive thinks that the Lakers should cut their losses and get rid of Frank Vogel as their head coach. There are those who agree with that sentiment, given that the Lakers have one of the worst defenses in the NBA, and Vogel is a coach who was brought in primarily for his defensive tact.

Perhaps Vogel is capable of turning things around. And that is why he has the confidence of LeBron James and the Lakers’ front office. Vogel needs to get the best out of his players and get them back to being one of the best-ranked defenses in the NBA going forward.

Vogel and the Lakers have their work cut out for them, given how poor they have been over the course of the season. And they need to turn their form around very soon and keep it that way to make sure they can at least make the playoffs.
