LeBron James has undisputedly been the greatest player of his generation, dominating the NBA for the better part of the last two decades. But a lot of that is down to his greatness and sometimes leads to fans forgetting just how many incredible talents the league has witnessed in that time. Players like Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki have seen a lot of their primes overlap with the King.

On the court, these superstars have often clashed with one another for the highest honors but off of it, there is a healthy level of respect that exists between all of them. Making it to the top in the NBA is incredibly difficult, so it’s no surprise that these players have a deep appreciation and kinship with their peers.

This was on display during All-Star Weekend this year, especially when all the modern greats that were included in the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team got together. There were many iconic pictures taken across the weekend, with stars of every generation taking photos with one another. After it was all over though, LeBron James took to Instagram to marvel how far he and some of his fellow stars have come.

LeBron won two of his titles alongside Wade with the Miami Heat and his relationship with Chris Paul is also a matter of public fact. The King and CP are so close that Paul happens to be godfather to Bronny James. Even Melo and Bron have always had a strong relationship, and the duo is currently playing together with the Los Angeles Lakers.

For those that grew up watching the NBA in the last decade, each player in this photo has provided them with the iconic memories that turned them into fans. Sharing their love for one another while they’re still playing is also wonderful to see. As the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant taught the NBA world, it’s very important to give the greats their flowers when we have them among us!
