James was also spotted at the game, sharing a moment with the soccer GOAT, giving him a warm hug and speaking to him before he and the Inter Miami squad took on Cruz Azul. James was thrilled to be interacting with a fellow sports icon like Messi.

LeBron James Was The King Of Miami Before Messi Arrived

LeBron James was quick to share his excitement over Lionel Messi’s incredible free-kick goal that won Inter Miami the game, taking to Instagram to shout out the Argentine legend. Messi has already made his mark in Miami, something James is very familiar with.

LeBron James played in Miami for four years between 2010 to 2014. During that period, LeBron averaged 26.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 6.7 assists, made 4 All-Star teams, won 2 MVP trophies, went to 4 NBA Finals, and won 2 championships and Finals MVPs.

Now, James is fully supportive of Lionel Messi as he becomes the new Miami sports icon, trying to bring Inter Miami championship success as LeBron did for the Heat all those years ago.
