Even after committing to load management all season long, the Los Angeles Clippers fell victim to the injury bug in what has been the story of their existence. When they signed Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in 2019, the franchise imagined the start of a dynasty.
Now, years later, the Clips have nothing to show for the Kawhi Leonard era, and they are left with questions once against after another first-round playoff loss. Yet, even despite the failures, the franchise remains loyal to Kawhi and Paul George, with no plans to move on from either star this offseason or anytime soon.
“Leonard, 31, and George, 32, are still in the prime years of their NBA careers and are enamored with their talent as two-way players. Though the Clippers had championship aspirations immediately after acquiring them, they still believe they have years left on their championship window,” wrote Sportsnaut’s Mark Medina. “They view George’s latest injury as uncontrollable since it stemmed from Oklahoma City forward Lu Dort colliding into him in a regular-season game on March 21. Although they don’t believe Kawhi’s latest injury is related to his ACL injury, they are mindful that players often experience hiccups during their first full season following ACL surgery.”
I'm told Clippers remain committed to Kawhi Leonard & Paul George despite their extensive injury history. More details here on @Sportsnaut: https://t.co/UG9xTpnCvt pic.twitter.com/6Jjo76CQbe

We all know what Kawhi and PG can do on the court. Their talent cannot be questioned, and their combined play stacks up with some of the best in the entire association. Sadly, they’ve barely gotten to play together at all since joining the team, whether due to load management practices or various injuries.
Can Kawhi Leonard And Paul George Win A Championship Together?
After another wasted campaign, one has to wonder what comes next for the Clippers. No doubt, the front office will make some moves to mix the supporting cast, but the biggest problem for them may be the availability of their stars.
The truth is, until the Clippers prove otherwise, it’s going to be hard for fans and experts to believe in this team and their potential to win it all. Every year, something always gets in the way, and the Clippers fail to give an answer.
Hopefully, things will change soon, and the franchise can alter its legacy with post-season success.
