Luka Doncic Casually Answering Questions In 4 Different Languages On Media Day

3 Min Read

Luka Doncic has demonstrated he’s not only one of the most talented NBA players on the court during a media day interview. The Dallas Mavericks young star spent some time talking with reporters via Zoom, answering their questions regarding the Mavs’ future, his personal future and the expectations he has ahead of the new season, among other things.

He did a good job, replied to everything they asked but that’s not the best part of the interview. Doncic demonstrated his talents with languages and replied to questions using four different, showing his skills in English, Spanish, Slovenian and Serbian. Of course, most of the questions were in English but when more reporters from around the world got their turn to ask, Doncic was ready to respond.

After replying to all the English questions, he started talking in Spanish (8:00 mark). Doncic played for Real Madrid before coming to the NBA and he learned a lot during his time in Spain. He talked about Facundo Campazzo, another former Real Madrid player, and his adaptation to the NBA with the Denver Nuggets. Doncic said it’ll be easy for Campazzo to adapt his game to the NBA. Moreover, he talked about music with reporters.

Then, he spoke in Slovenian (11:15), revealing his intentions to represent his country in next year’s Eurobasket competition and how he reacted after being eliminated by the Los Angeles Clippers in the Orlando bubble. He said he didn’t have much time to think about since he focused on spending time with family and friends.

Lastly, he spoke Serbian (13:45 mark), revealing that he wouldn’t trade Boban Marjanovic to land Nikola Jokic, but he knows the Denver Nuggets star is very interested in joining the Dallas Mavericks and Doncic doesn’t seem that with bad eyes.

He really put up a show and demonstrated his talents off the court. He’ll try to do the same on the hardwoods this upcoming season with the Mavs. Doncic is ready to help his team compete for big things this campaign and improve what they did last season.
