While the stars will get a lot of foul calls called in their favor, there is no question that the referees will not be able to get every single call correct.
Luka Doncic is one of the players who is typically viewed as a player who complains to the referees about calls. Luka Doncic is one of the top young stars in the NBA, and there is no doubt he receives a lot of contact from opposing defenses. After Slovenia’s recent win in their Olympics Qualifying tournament, Luka Doncic joked about how he doesn’t get calls in the NBA. The statement was in response to a question about the lack of “star calls” in FIBA as compared to the NBA.
Luka Doncic was asked after the Slovenia game today if he's used to not getting "star" calls in FIBA like he does in the NBA.
"I don't really get calls in the NBA, I don't think," he said, smiling.

There is no doubt that Luka Doncic gets more calls than a lot of players, as his 7.15 FTA per game puts him in the top 15. However, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t uncalled contact, as there are times we’ve seen Luka Doncic get extremely physical treatment from opposing defenders. However, it seems as though free throws aren’t required for Luka Doncic to dominate, as he has had a stellar year in the NBA despite potential missed calls.
