Luka Doncic is currently one of the biggest stars in the league. The European magician may just be 23 years old, but he has already refined his game to a level that not many players reach in the NBA.

Since getting drafted into the league, Doncic has only gotten better and is now at a level where there is a genuine case for him to become the MVP of the NBA. In fact, before the 2022-23 NBA season started, Doncic received the most votes from NBA GMs in a survey regarding which player is most likely to win the MVP award.

While winning the MVP award will be a great honor for Luka, he has his eyes set on the ultimate prize, which is the NBA Championship.

Via The New York Times:

I’d rather have the championship than M.V.P., but if you win an M.V.P., it’s amazing, too.”

Winning the NBA Championship is the ultimate goal for any player in the league. However, getting individual awards is not a small deal either. The way Luka has developed into a superstar after spending just a few seasons in the league, he may win the MVP award in the near future. But will he ever lift the NBA Championship trophy?

Luka Doncic Has Full Trust In The Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks have looked shaky at times in the 2022-23 NBA season. They are currently going through a rough patch and heading to the NBA All-Star break with a 3-game losing streak.

Despite that, Doncic recently claimed that the Mavericks can be a dangerous team. Luka’s huge claim is backed up by the eventual return of the team’s defensive anchor Maxi Kleber, who has missed more than 30 games this season.

The Mavericks just need to make sure their role players stay consistent and keep supporting the dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. If they can pull this off, the Mavericks may genuinely end up winning the 2023 NBA title and helping Doncic win the first title of his career.
