The Golden State Warriors have almost completed their comeback in the first-round series vs. the Sacramento Kings after winning Game 5.

The defending champions of the league have now taken a 3-2 lead in the series. Following the phenomenal 123-116 win, NBA legend Magic Johnson announced on Twitter that the Dubs would defeat the Kings in Game 6 and advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.

“After tonight, this series is over. There is no way the Kings will beat the Warriors in San Francisco at home!”

Throughout the 2022-23 NBA season, winning on the road has been a huge issue for the Warriors. So, the Kings had the golden opportunity to take the lead over the Warriors in Game 5.

However, Draymond Green propelled the Warriors to a stunning victory. Considering Game 6 of the series will be played at the Dubs’ home, it’s hard to see them let the lead slip up.

Stephen Curry And Klay Thompson Hailed As The Best Duo In The NBA

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have proven to be one of the greatest duos in the modern-day NBA.

The duo proved that once again in Game 5 as they combined for 56 points, 4 rebounds, and 9 assists. The ‘Splash Brothers’ gave an example of why NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith labeled them the best duo in the league a few days ago.

“Gonna have to say no,” Smith said. “That dude Steph Curry is still alive with Klay Thompson. I’m going with the greatest shooting backcourt in history, who happen to be the reigning defending champions.”

Smith gave this answer in response to whether Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are the best duo in the league. While Tatum and Brown have done a phenomenal job for the Celtics, they are still miles behind Curry and Thompson in terms of achieving success in the NBA.
