Magic Johnson confidently said that LeBron James will never surpass Michael Jordan as the GOAT.
In an old interview with entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David that did the rounds on social media, Johnson was asked about Jordan and James and whether the latter can do anything more at this stage of his career, to which the former Los Angeles Lakers legend replied:
“Never. I’m not hating on him.”
David continued: “If we played draft pick, greatest of all time, have the second pick. Who’s your No. 1 pick? To which Johnson had a steady answer.
“I’m taking Michael all day. I’m taking Michael.”

Johnson has seen Jordan up close, and he’s perhaps one of the better people to make the call on whether James could surpass the Chicago Bulls legend. With the kind of career that Jordan had, he ended his illustrious run in the NBA with six championships to his name.
James, on the other hand, at 38, has four titles to his name. While his longevity is commendable, the massive influence that Jordan had and his accolades surely put him as the undisputed GOAT.
