The GOAT debate is one of those things in the NBA about which every individual has a different opinion. But when we take a look at the general consensus, most fans believe that Michael Jordan is worthy of that label.
MJ dominated the NBA during the 1990s by winning six NBA Championships in six NBA Finals trips. Additionally, there’s no doubt that Mike had an unforgettable role in increasing the popularity of the league throughout the world.
There are many other accolades that contribute to Jordan’s status as the GOAT. As a result, not many players have come close to dethroning him, apart from the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.
Throughout his career, James has chased MJ’s GOAT status, and for what it’s worth, he has come a lot closer to surpassing Jordan. In fact, 37 NBA legends, players, and coaches have agreed that James is the GOAT or at least the second greatest player of all time.
Metta World Peace Admits That LeBron James Is The Greatest Player Of All Time
Former Los Angeles Lakers star Ron Artest, now known as Metta World Peace, has had various opinions about who the GOAT is over the years. He once claimed that the late NBA legend Bill Russell was the GOAT over Michael Jordan.
Now the former Lakers player has decided to openly admit that LBJ is indeed the greatest player of all time.
I’m super excited about the @NBA this year. @KingJames legacy is cemented . Officially the greatest player to ever play. Really hard to say that because I’m an MJ fan. I just want to get it out the way . I’ll repeat it again when it’s officially announced

Due to LeBron being on the verge of surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s top scorer, many have changed their opinion of who the GOAT is between MJ and LBJ. If the King manages to win another NBA title alongside passing KAJ as the league’s top scorer, there will be little to no doubt about him being the undisputed GOAT of the NBA.
