Miami Heat Acquire Nemanja Bjelica From Sacramento Kings

The Miami Heat were reportedly set to be quite aggressive ahead of this year’s trade deadline. Now, they’ve made their first of potential several moves, by acquiring Nemanja Bjelica from the Sacramento Kings; according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bjelica was reportedly frustrated with the lack of playing time under Luke Walton, a situation that didn’t change even despite Marvin Bagley III’s injury. Now, the Serbian forward/center will have an extender role under Erik Spoelstra’s command.

While his shooting has regressed this season, Bjelica is still a smart and savvy veteran that can offer the Heat a lot of versatility at both forward spots or at center. Sacramento, on the other hand, will get Moe Harkless and Chris Silva on the deal.

This season, the former Timberwolves player is averaging 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game on 16.9 minutes.

The Heat are still expected to make some moves and have been tied to Kyle Lowry, Victor Oladipo, and LaMarcus Aldridge; so we’ll have to stay tuned,
