Michael Jordan, the basketball legend, is known for his competitive spirit and desire to win at all costs. He faced challenges and criticisms in his career, which motivated him to prove his greatness. And two Nuggets rookies were about to find out.

Two young rookies, Vincent Yarbrough and Junior Harrington, found themselves face-to-face with their idol. But His Airness was having a tough game, and they decided to start talking trash. The taunts lit a fire in Michael Jordan, propelling him to take control of the game in the fourth quarter and he said:

“Hold on now, you little b—-. You grew up watching me, I didn’t grow up watching you.”

This was just the start as Jordan switched gears in an instant and exploded in the fourth quarter for 10 points and hit four shots in a row to seal the game. After the game, Michael Jordan said:

“At the end of the day, winning can shut up a lot of people. And once we got the lead, some of the conversation disappeared.”

Michael Jordan finished the game with 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists with 11-22 (50.0% FG).

The two rookies quickly learned their lesson, and they paid the price as well. There aren’t a lot of people who talked smack to Jordan and ended up with a happy ending.

Michael Jordan Teaches Kevin Garnett A Lesson

Jordan spared no one and Celtics legend Kevin Garnett is no stranger. When Garnett was with the Wolves, his team was having a good game against the Bulls. So he took his chance and started talking smack to Jordan. And Bak heard this and responded with his game.

Kevin Garnett hilariously explained what happened in that game:

“I can’t even really describe the next 6-7 minutes of play y’all. We down 25 now, it was just at 2. Mike had 18, he got like 40 now. I come to the joint, I was like, ‘JR, my bad man, I’m sorry.'”

“He said, ‘It’s cool, man, I told you to shut your a** up.’ Mike came down, ‘Okay, young fella, okay okay, y’all done? Damn, young fella. Okay, okay.”

Jordan inspires generations of fans with his drive to silence critics. He never pulled his punches and he would destroy anyone who came in his path. There are tons of stories where he taught anyone who taunted him a lesson.
