Most hoop fans recognize Michael Jordan as the GOAT, but even people that don’t follow basketball know who MJ is and his influence extends across the world. The Jordan name has become a brand too, with the ‘Air Jordan’ sneakers being among the most coveted shoes in the world since MJ dropped the first ones back in his playing days. These shoes have helped make Jordan a billionaire, and even now, when they release new ones, they sell out in a matter of seconds.

However, a lot of times, that’s thanks to the fact that there are just not enough pairs that go out on the drop date. Speculation about unfair backdoor selling to resellers, who turn around sell the shoes at an even higher price has been rife for years now. And one of the people blamed for this is none other than Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus.

The Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 shoes, which dropped last year, caused a lot of controversies in terms of supposed backdoor dealings. Accusations regarding them have surfaced again, naming Marcus as the person that sold thousands of pairs to resellers. The younger Jordan has had enough though, it would seem since he spoke out about it on his Twitter account.

“Y’all so annoying with this sh*t. This all cap. Y’all MFs too laughable at this point. Go watch a documentary for the conspiracies on stay on that side.”

There’s no way to conclusively tell if Marcus Jordan was involved in any of this, but considering that he likely has more access to the goods than anyone else, it’s not hard to fathom where the accusations are coming from. In any case, Jordans being so hard to acquire only add to the mystique and value of the brand, and people will always be on the lookout to get their hands on the next pair that drops.
