Spirits will be high in Denver, as the Nuggets took Game 4 in Miami. The Nuggets now have a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals and are one win away from winning the NBA championship for the first time in the history of their franchise. Michael Malone congratulated his players on the win after the game and even trolled his star player.

While sitting in the locker room, Michael Malone acknowledged the contributions from several Nuggets stars. When addressing Nikola Jokic, Malone joked that he was disappointed that he didn’t get a triple-double, before giving him his props and gifting him a chain.

“Nikola, little disappointed you didn’t get a triple-double tonight. But great job, 23 and 12. I want to give this to Nikola Jokic.”

Nikola Jokic didn’t get a triple-double last night, but still had a solid performance. He scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, as the Nuggets pulled off a 108-95 win over the Miami Heat. The Nuggets showed last night that they are not solely dependent on Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, and their role players can step up.

Nikola Jokic Joining The Greats

Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets are now just one win away from winning the NBA championship. For Jokic, this win would elevate him into the list of all-time great NBA players. Jokic would seemingly accomplish every high-level achievement in the NBA with an NBA championship and Finals MVP win.

Former NBA player Jamal Crawford had high praise for Nikola Jokic, claiming that he was trying to outplay and outsmart Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra rather than playing against the Heat stars. Jokic is one of, if not the smartest players in the NBA, so his going toe-to-toe with one of the best NBA coaches is not a surprise at all.
