Jamal Murray set the alarms for the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, after he left the game with 50.6 seconds on the clock. The point guard suffered a non-contact injury that affected his knee while he drove to the basket.
He was taken off the court by coaches and trainers, while in pain, making everybody worry about his situation. Nuggets head coach Mike Malone was very worried about the player and he looked very emotional while talking about the point guard.

He reminded everybody that he just returned from an injury and it happened again, which made things worse for the Nuggets who lost to the Golden State Warriors.
“Some of the (assistant) coaches said when they watched the replay, it looked like he hyperextended it,” Malone said. “Just an awful feeling. Keep Jamal in your thoughts and prayers, and hopefully we’ll get some good news.”
Malone stated that after returning from an injury, this was the last thing the team wanted to see but they’re hopeful they can get good news or their season will take a really bad turn from now on.
“He just came back,” an emotional Nuggets coach Michael Malone said, via the Denver Post. “He was gone for four days. His knee’s been bothering him. He took those four games to try to get right. First game back, obviously. It’s just an awful feeling… Hopefully, we’ll get good news.”
The NBA community reacted to the injury, sending messages of support for Murray. New Orleans Pelicans’ Josh Hart reminded people that a lot of stars have picked injuries this season and that doesn’t look good for anybody.
Too many players getting hurt with this shortened season 🤦🏽♂️ need to not do this one again

Murray finished the game with 17 points in 33 minutes of play in the Nuggets’ 116-107 loss to the Warriors. Hopefully, he can come back to action as soon as possible to help his team, one of the hottest squads in the league, to compete in the final stretch of the regular season and the playoffs.
