What NBA players wear to games often gets a lot of attention. The pre-game outfit has become something of a staple when it comes to NBA fan discussions online. Many players have built a reputation for themselves based on the outfits they wear coming into the game.

But Myles Turner’s outfit was one that no one expected. Turner showed up to the Indiana Pacers game dressed up as Darth Vader. He was also accompanied by 2 people dressed as Storm Troopers, Vader’s minions from the historic Star Wars franchise.

It was a really funny moment, made even funnier by the fact that the hallway he was walking down looked very similar to the ship Vader was walking down in the opening scene of Star Wars: A New Hope, the first scene Vader was seen in over the franchise’s history.

Turner, who is considered one of the premier young big men in the NBA, showed that there is a comedic side to his personality and presence in the NBA with this outfit. But on the court, there have been questions about his career trajectory, especially while playing for the currently-underwhelming Indiana Pacers.

There have been rumors recently linking Turner to the New York Knicks as part of a trade package. Whether the Knicks will pull the trigger on that deal remains to be seen. But perhaps Turner would benefit from a change in scenery, especially given how the Pacers have been playing lately.

Going forward, Turner’s career will be looked at very closely, especially with all these links to different teams. Whether Turner actually goes to a different team in the near future is still a big question mark that remains to be answered. But one thing cannot be denied; Turner has made himself a big favorite of the Star Wars fandom.
