Nate Robinson Gives Message To His Supporters After Getting Knocked Out By Jake Paul

2 Min Read

3x Slam Dunk Champion Nate Robinson got obliterated in the boxing ring last night, suffering a three-round knockout defeat at the hands of YouTube star Jake Paul.

Needless to say, it wasn’t a good night for the former NBA point guard and, amid concern, and many jokes at his expense, Robinson shared a brief message to his supporters.

Thank you everyone for all of the well wishes, I’m OK. I appreciate @triller for the opportunity as well as everyone that has backed me during the fight. To my coaches, trainers, fans, and teammates, I appreciate all of the time and support you guys put in with me…it wasn’t the outcome that we wanted, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to fight on the biggest stage that there has been. #holdat

It was an amazing show of courage and strength by Nate to not only step into the ring but also gracefully accept the outcome after his loss. After training for months, Robinson and his camp were hoping for better results, especially against a guy like Paul, who has a limited amount of experience in the boxing world.

It’s unknown whether Nate will put on the gloves again, but there is no doubt he will have a wave of supporters behind him if he does. He has shown heart, grit, and determination — even in the face of defeat.

That’s commendable, no matter who you are.
