LeBron James has been heavily criticized during his entire career, and more often than not, the things said about him are simply not true. The King has proven doubters wrong time and time again, and even one week before he turns 38, he’s ready to continue this trend in the association.
Something that has been unfairly used against him during his incredibly long career is that LeBron isn’t clutch, which has sparked big debates around the league. While some say he’s always trying to make the right play for his team, others believe that James, as the No. 1 option on his team, should take the big shots always.
One of those who believed Bron isn’t clutch was somebody who played with the most clutch player in NBA history and saw him do his thing every single night.
Scottie Pippen once claimed that LeBron lacked this gene, even saying that Russell Westbrook, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George did have it, diminishing LeBron’s big shots over the years.
“His ability to take over games..his ability to wanna have that last shot… LeBron doesn’t have that gene. That’s not in him. I see a little bit of it in Paul George, Kawhi, Westbrook.”
This didn’t sit well with many people and one LeBron James fan got to work to find proof to debunk Pippen’s claims. They came up with many videos of James doing his thing, taking over games, making big shots in crunch time, leading his team to big wins, and showing up in crucial moments over the years.
“His ability to takeover games..his ability to wanna have that last shot..LeBron doesn’t have that gene. That’s not in him. I see a little bit of it in Paul George, Kawhi, Westbrook.”

LeBron has been subjected to all these bad comments for a while now, and it’s clear that he always makes the best play for his team. Sometimes he passes the ball to a teammate or takes the shot himself, but many people choose to talk about the passes he makes instead of all the big shots he’s made over the years.
