Stephen Curry is one of the best players of our generation. There are simply no two ways to look at it. Steph’s impact on the game of basketball is simply insane. But even the best of the best have a few flaws in their games.

For Steph, it’s somewhat his lack of ability to close out games when it matters the most. Curry has three NBA Championships to his name and has played really well in those wins.

But when you put his performances under the microscope, it will give you a pattern that suggests that Curry is usually at his best during the beginning of games. The most recent example was Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals.

Steph started the game in red-hot form and looked unstoppable. But as the game progressed, he slowly cooled down and, in the end, was unable to make important shots towards the end of the game.

Upon seeing this performance from the 2x MVP, one NBA fan was brutally honest on Twitter. He pointed out this flaw in Curry’s game and gave a very controversial take in one of his tweets:

“Steph has always been more dangerous at the beginning of games than at the end, especially in the Finals.”

As mentioned in the tweet above, Curry has a tendency to disappear towards the end of the games, especially in NBA Finals. This is a huge flaw for someone of the caliber of Steph.

It seemed like the Boston Celtics were aware of this and took full advantage of it as they cleared a 12-0 deficit late in the game and ultimately took a 1-0 lead in the 2022 NBA Finals.

This flaw in Steph’s game is something that might hold him from making it to the top 10 all-time NBA players list even if he wins this year’s finals. Can Steph overcome this major issue? Only time will tell.
