NBA Fan Says The 2011-14 Heat Are Overrated And Were Disappointing: ‘Only 2 Championship, Lost To Mavs As Heavy Favorite, Blown Off The Court In 2014 Finals

2 Min Read

The Big 3 Miami Heat carried a lot of expectations during their entire existence. LeBron James joined forces with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to create a superteam and as soon as they landed, everybody named them the favorites to win the NBA title since their very first season.

In the end, they went to the Finals every year the trio was together, winning two titles. That is not bad at all, but seeing the expectations surrounding the team, it always felt like they could have won more than they actually did. One NBA fan pointed out exactly that, explaining that their losses were bigger than their wins.

After surprisingly losing to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Finals, the Heat won two straight titles against two Big 3, the young Oklahoma City Thunder led by Kevin Durant and the San Antonio Spurs with Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. Their first season together they seemed to be ready to win the title but the Mavericks upset them behind Dirk Nowitzki’s great performances during the entire playoffs.

The last season they were together, the San Antonio Spurs took revenge and absolutely dominated the Heat in the Finals, finishing the Big 3 era in South Beach. Of course, this created a debate and more fans decided to express their opinion, some attacking LeBron, some attacking Jordan and others defending the Heat and reminding everybody the teams they had to face in the Finals.

This team is always part of heated debates. The general thinking is that giving their talent and how dominant they were, they should have won at least one more title.
