NBA Fan Suggests A 3-Team Blockbuster Trade: Anthony Davis To Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers Land Julius Randle And Nikola Vucevic, Russell Westbrook Becomes A Knick

The Los Angeles Lakers have some tough decisions to make this offseason. It feels like something drastic has to happen if the Lakers are to get back to contending status immediately, and a change in coaching is just one of those things. The roster needs work, and their stars might not be untouchable either, after disappointing seasons for both Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis.

Davis is one of the best players in the league when he’s healthy, a behemoth on the defensive and offensive end of the floor. However, his availability is always a question mark. Davis has played less than 80 games in the last 2 seasons, prompting suggestions that the Lakers could move on from him. And now an NBA fan has suggested an audacious 3-team trade involving AD.

The trade would see the Lakers part ways with both Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, but they would be replaced by Nikola Vucevic from the Bulls and Julius Randle from the Knicks, who started his NBA career in Los Angeles. Derrick Rose could be a solid piece off the bench, and Cam Reddish has upside in terms of development as well.

The Bulls would get hometown legend Anthony Davis to pair up alongside DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine if they can keep him, while the Knicks would have a star in Westbrook and some great pieces in Coby White and Patrick Williams Jr. Fans had mixed reviews about the idea.

“This is the best trade you’ve made. I love it for everyone.”

“If I’m the Knicks I gotta find a way to get rid of Fournier in that kind of deal too.”

“Chicago got crazy with this.”

“Lakers lose. I don’t think y’all realise how valuable AD is.”

“Chicago will have both injury prone players out for most of the season lol.”

“With all due respect, this trade is dumb af for the Lakers to do.”

“They would not give AD and Kemba to ChiTown. Kemba would pop off AD would to.”

“Haha why would the Lakers do this?”

“The Lakers stars surely aren’t that cheap.”

“This works on so many levels.”

“I love this for all the teams, but I can’t imagine it actually going through.”

While a deal of this magnitude is unlikely to occur this offseason, it cannot be written off either, and this does look like a transaction that would benefit every team involved in it. The Lakers certainly need to shake things up, but whether LeBron James would be willing to trade the big man he wanted so badly and who won a championship beside him remains to be seen.
