NBA Fans Calls Out Bradley Beal After His Statement On 76ers: “We Could Have Taken Them To 7.”

2 Min Read

Bradley Beal was under fire following the Washington Wizards elimination from the 2021 NBA playoffs. The capital team succumbed to a Joel Embiid-less Philadelphia 76ers, finishing a season where they did a lot more than people initially believed.

After the game was over, the shooting guard talked with reporters, claiming he was convinced the Wizards could have taken this series to the limit. Even though they had Russell Westbrook and Beal, it didn’t look like Washington could represent a big challenge for Philly.

Yet, Beal said that the team could have done a lot more.

“I still strongly believe in my heart that we could have taken them to 7.”

These words didn’t sit well among NBA fans, who didn’t hesitate to blast Beal. The Twitter community called him out over his comments, saying he had the chance to beat the East top-seeded and couldn’t.

The Sixers are one of the candidates to come out of the East this season. That’s why even with Beal and Westbrook, the Wizards were not close to their rivals’ level.

Now Philly will face the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals while Beal and his Wizards will have an entertaining offseason to define their future.
