NBA Fans Debate Which Player They Could Beat 1-On-1 To Save Their Family: “Boban Because He Is Kind And He Would Let Me Win.”

The NBA is filled with the greatest basketball talent in the world. There are only 450 roster spots in the league each season, and making it means you are miles better than everyone else to pick up a ball. However, with the exclusivity, there is also scrutiny because the competition is so tough. And fans of the league and the game can be ruthless when it comes to calling out players that don’t do well in the league.

And that criticism makes some fans quite cocky, often thinking that they can do better than some players that are actually in the league. As Brian Scalabrine once legendarily said to a fan, though, ‘I am closer to LeBron than you are to me.’ Despite this, fans still love debating if they could beat a player 1-on-1.

The latest question that went viral on social media was which player do fans think they would be able to beat 1-on-1 if they had to save their families. This would be a dire situation, and the people that commented didn’t disappoint, giving some clever answers, as well as some hilarious ones.

“Boban because he is kind and he would let me win.”

“Definitely not Dejounte.”

“Kyrie Irving because he wouldn’t show up for ‘personal reasons’.

“Doesn’t matter, we’re getting cooked regardless.”

“Kyrie but put it in the contract he needs to be vaccinated.”

“It has to be Isaiah Thomas.”

“The shortest current player and do everything in my power to score in the post, they’d still probably send my sh*t too.”

“Ben Simmons he ain’t gone show up.”

“Isaiah Thomas bc Im 6’5 and I could just bully him in the paint.”

“Kawhi.. I’m sure he will forfeit the game because of ‘Load Management’.”

“I’d just apologize to my family yo.”

“I don’t think I could even come close to beating a single one.”

The reality of the situation is in some of these comments, there is not a single NBA player that would lose 1-on-1 against a fan off the street. Some of the answers are clearly shots, too, with Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons catching some heat for missing games. In any case, in this hypothetical scenario, perhaps the answer that says Boban Marjanovic because he would show mercy is the only right one.
