Tyrese Haliburton is one of the best players in the NBA today, but when it comes to fashion sense, he certainly has some ways to go. Haliburton and his Indiana Pacers were in New York to take on the Knicks on Thursday, and his pre-game outfit raised plenty of eyebrows. BrickMuse on X jokingly stated that Haliburton was dressed like Adolf Hitler.

“Bro dressed like Hitler.”

The post went viral, and NBA fans hilariously reacted to it.

One fan made another Hitler joke.

A fan wants Haliburton to get a stylist.

One fan is convinced that these fits are humiliation rituals.

A fan stated Haliburton was dressed like a Pokemon boss.

One compared Haliburton to Inspector Gadget.

I’m not quite sure what made Haliburton think that was a good choice for an outfit. Then again, considering the outfits he has worn recently, nothing he wears should surprise anyone at this point.

As for that game against the Knicks, Haliburton and the Pacers led by as many as 15 points at one stage, but ended up losing 109-105. The star point guard had 15 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals in just under 22 minutes, with Indiana having him on a minutes restriction as he recovers from a strained left hamstring.

Tyrese Haliburton Called The 65-Game Rule For Awards Stupid

Haliburton ended up missing 10 games due to that hamstring issue, which has left him perilously close to failing to hit the 65-game threshold to be eligible for any end-of-the-season award or honor. The financial implications of it are huge, and the 23-year-old was asked about that rule after a practice session on Monday.

“I’m human like you guys,” Haliburton said. “I use the internet as well. I completely understand it, and I understand what’s at stake for me financially as well. But at the end of the day, it’s also that I got to take care of my body to the best of my ability and put myself in the right situation. Yeah, I know I don’t have a ton of games left.”

Haliburton then made his feelings on the rule crystal clear by calling it a stupid one.

“I think it’s a stupid rule like many guys in the league,” Haliburton continued. “But I mean this is what the owners want, so as players, we got to do our job and play in 65 games if we’re able to. That’s what I gotta do – take care of my body to be able to play in those games. You’re seeing other players in the league face the same thing. As long as the owners are happy.”

(starts at 12:56 mark):

To be eligible for MVP, DPOY, or any of the All-NBA teams, a player has to play at least 65 games, and they also have to play at least 20 minutes in all of them. Haliburton has already missed 13 games, and he only played just over 13 minutes before going down with that hamstring injury in the game against the Celtics.

So, if he misses more than three games the rest of the way, he won’t be eligible for any of those honors. While that would be bad enough, the bigger issue is that it would also lead to Haliburton missing out on $41 million.

He signed a five-year, $204.5 million max extension with the Pacers this offseason, and it would be bumped to five years, $245.3 million if he made one of the All-NBA teams in 2023-24. Haliburton is averaging 23.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 12.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game this season, and is more than deserving of a spot, but might not make it in because of that hamstring injury.
