Team Chris beat Team G League 25-14 to win the Rising Stars Championship at Chase Center, San Francisco, on Friday. Team C booked their ticket to the NBA All-Star mini-tournament with this win and will take on Shaq’s OG’s in the semifinal.

San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle led the way for Team C with 12 points (5-8 FG), three rebounds, and two assists in the contest. Dalton Knecht also impressed in the final with five points (2-5 FG), two rebounds, and one steal, and he now will face off against his Los Angeles Lakers teammate LeBron James in the tournament.

NBA fans loved what they saw during the Rising Stars tournament and are now looking forward to the main event.

“Stephon Castle can do whatever you ask him to do. He has primary initiating chops and can adapt to any secondary action. He’s that type of dude. Positions don’t exist with him,” one fan was full of praise for Castle.

“Knecht is going to have a long career in the association. He is definitely a piece that can help you complete a championship puzzle. Hopefully, both of those are with the Lakers,” one fan was impressed by Dalton Knecht’s play.

“Imagine if a Rising Stars team beats an All-Star team,” a fan is excited at the prospect of Team C beating Shaq’s OG’s in the tournament.

“Them young boys about to get ran… I ain’t even gon lie to y’all. It’s over with,” another fan reckons it is going to be a no-contest.

“The G League team won a game, that was an unexpected outcome, especially against who they played. A valiant effort,” one fan praised Team G League for making it to the final.

Team G League stunned Team Mitch 40-39 to make it to the final, with Bryce McGowens hitting an incredible game-winner.

It would have been quite something if Team G League had won this tournament, but they were no match for Team C in the final. They shot just 31.6% from the field in the final, with Dink Pate and Leonard Miller being the leading scorers with just five points each.

Castle proved to be too much to handle on the other end and he had a message for the All-Stars after accepting the MVP award.

“Be ready for us. We’re here to win it,” Castle said.

On paper, Team C does not stand much of a chance. They’re going up against the likes of James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Jayson Tatum, but it’s unclear how seriously they’ll be taking this.

Perhaps a little bit of the embarrassment that might come from losing to a bunch of kids might motivate them to go out and compete for once. The winner of this clash will face off against either Kenny’s Young Stars or Chuck’s Global Stars in the final.
