Kevin Durant is officially a Phoenix Sun now, and it can be hard for fans to believe at times. Just a few months ago, after all, Durant and his friend Kyrie Irving were lighting up the league in Brooklyn. Now, Durant is in Phoenix and may have to fave Irving’s new team in the postseason.

It has been a swift transition for Durant, and it may take some time before we get used to seeing him in orange and purple.

Fortunately, Durant is finally starting to join team activities, and his introduction has already sent shockwaves throughout all social media.

On Monday, fans got another glimpse of Durant in the latest team practice footage.

Despite the drama and chaos that unfolded in Brooklyn, his goal has always been to focus on basketball. Now, in Phoenix, he’ll finally have the chance to do that without all the distractions his previous tenure endured.

Are The Suns The Favorites To Win The NBA Title?

Even before Durant’s arrival, the Suns were considered a major threat in the West. With a healthy Devin Booker, they were on par with Memphis, Denver, and the Pelicans at the start of the season.

With Durant, even despite their recent slide down the standings, the Suns have enough fire-power to beat any team in the league, and he should fit right in with what they’ve been doing.

“I’m excited, man. I’ve been knowing KD for a long time since he was a camper,” said Chris Paul. “He’s one of the best players to ever play the game, and just to know how he approaches the game, just like his nickname, he’s easy money. Just somebody who loves the game like that. I think that’s what got me and Book [Devin Booker] together, because loves to hoop. KD, he just loves to hoop.”

It should be exciting to see how Phoenix’s big three plays together, but it will be another week or two before we see it for ourselves. As good as Durant looked in the videos above, he’s still recovering from his injury, and the Suns have no intention of trying to rush him back.

But when he finally does take the floor, with Booker and Chris by his side, nothing will stop the Suns from making a deep run through the West.
