NBA Fans React To NBA 2K21 Next Gen Gameplay

2 Min Read

2K has big pressure on their shoulders this year after fans started to complain about the similarities between NBA 2K20 and NBA 2K21 current gen. People aren’t happy with that they saw and the developers will try to turn things around with the next-gen gameplay. The finally released it today and to be fair, things look pretty promising for the fans.

As usual, the trailer starts with some players dropping sweat as they walk the court or go to the basket. Then, Zion Williamson and Damian Lillard are dunking the ball before we go to the tunnel in the American Airlines Center, with Luka Doncic heading to the court to face the Golden State Warriors. The rest of the video is the matchup between the Mavs and Dubs exchanging shots until Doncic gives his team the lead with little time on the clock.

After that, Curry goes up with a game-winning buzzer-beater to defeat Dallas.

This video was captured in a PS5, so you get to know how good it’ll look when in the brand new console. 2K tried to make a very realistic game and judging the video, they did it.

“Never before have we been able to deliver this level of visual fidelity and realism in a video game,” says Greg Thomas, president of Visual Concepts, via GamesRadar. “NBA 2K21 is the standout title that best delivers the promise of next-gen: truly revolutionary graphics, lightning-fast load times and incredible new features and gameplay only possible on next-generation hardware.”

The gameplay received different comments, as usual, with some fans loving what they saw and others putting 2K on blast for selling the same game they made last year.

It looks pretty good, but everybody has an opinion on this matter.
