Team Canada’s 2023 FIBA World Cup roster, in one word, is awesome. And safe to say, the fans haven’t been able to stop talking about the squad on Twitter.

Jamal Murray, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Dillon Brooks, R.J. Barrett, Luguentz Dort, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Kelly Olynyk, Oshae Brissett, Cory Joseph, Dwight Powell, Zach Edey, Kevin Pangos, Kassius Robertson, Phil Scrubb, and Thomas Scrubb make up the roster.

Moving on to the fan reactions:

Some said Canada was all about winning and winning now.

Calling it ‘fire’ is an understatement.

One fan spelled trouble for Team USA.

“They will be cooking.”

A segment of fans were in awe with the bigs in the roster.

One of the fans was pleased with the roster.

Andrew Wiggins’ absence didn’t go unnoticed.

This fan nailed it.

Earlier, Fadeaway World featured Team Canada in a piece about how they could create a stacked team for the FIBA WC, and now this roster just proves the theory of how they can make a stacked five in every stage of the game.

Team Canada Is More Than Just A Formidable Opponent

The Slam-bang unit that’s committed to the 2023 FIBA WC is a great sign for Team Canada.

Murray was terrific in the NBA Finals for the Denver Nuggets, with averages of 21.4 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 10.0 APG, and 1.0 SPG. He will be the undisputed leader for the side with the likes of Shai and Barrett playing their roles. In Dillon Brooks, they have a sorted defensive presence, while Bennedict Mathurin and Lu Dort will be key pieces in their run.

Canada’s first game is against France on August 25 in Jakarta, Indonesia. It will be interesting to see how they fare against a tough unit.
