This summer, we have seen Team USA participate in a number of exhibition matches ahead of the FIBA World Cup. The latest of those contests came against a tough team in Spain, with the final score being 98-88. 

Point guard Jalen Brunson was clearly the best player on the court for both teams, finishing with 22 points on 9/9 shooting. Team USA had some other solid performers in the game as well. Jaren Jackson Jr. put up 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks, while Austin Reaves scored 11 points on 4/6 shooting. The team’s next exhibition game will be against Greece on August 18th.

After the game against Spain, a lot of fans voiced their opinions about the win from the United States. One fan suggested that the team is ready to win the World Cup after beating Spain.

Another fan claimed that this United States team is “crazy”.

Some comments suggested that the U. S. managed to win despite the game being rigged.

There is no doubt that this was a tough match for Team USA, definitely the toughest exhibition match for the team thus far. Ultimately though, Team USA’s defense was key to their success. 

It will be interesting to see how Team USA ends up doing in the actual FIBA tournament. The lead-up to the tournament has definitely been successful thus far, though it is clear that some among the team need some time to adjust to the more physical nature of the FIBA game.
