NBA Fans Roasted Devin Booker For Posting LeBron James’ Speech After His 2011 Finals Loss On Instagram: “LeBron Lost In The Finals, You Lost In Preseason.”

Devin Booker has been the subject of a lot of clowning since the Phoenix Suns lost spectacularly in Game 7 against the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Suns had homecourt advantage for Game 7 but ended up getting blown out devastatingly by Luka Doncic and his team. Devin Booker and Chris Paul, both of whom were terrible during that game, ended up being roasted online and by a lot of media members as well.

Things have not gotten better for the Suns or Booker in the offseason. Devin’s relationship with Kendall Jenner reportedly came to an end, and the Suns have been in some turmoil. Deandre Ayton signed an offer sheet with the Pacers, which Phoenix matched, but he doesn’t seem too happy about it. Jae Crowder publicly wants out of the organization. And lastly, they lost in the preseason against the Adelaide 36ers, which led to even more jokes at Booker and the Suns’ expense.

NBA Fans Destroyed Devin Booker For Posting LeBron James’ Speech After The 2011 NBA Finals

Failing in the NBA is not anything new, the greatest have gone through their struggles. LeBron James had a famous speech about not caring what his critics were saying after he lost in the 2011 NBA Finals with the Miami Heat. And Devin Booker has seconded the sentiment, sharing it on his Instagram following the latest round of trolling.

The sentiment is an understandable one; Booker is focused on doing what he does and not worrying about what anyone else has to say. But the context of when he was doing this wasn’t lost on NBA fans, who responded by calling him out even more.

“LeBron lost in the Finals, you lost in preseason.”

“Somebody tell homie it’s not the same if you lose to Dirk’s Mavs and if you lose to the freaking 36ers lmao.”

“Bro thinks he’s Bron level now?”

“Bron followed this up with 2 rings in the next 2 seasons, you gonna do that?”

“Booker is rattled bro, no cap.”

“Book already got his levels of corny & dramatic in postseason form I see.”

“You lost to an NBL team, not the Finals. Christ.”

“If you like praise when you win, better learn to deal with critcism when you don’t.”

“This is so lame, man.”

“Bruh think the season’s already started.”

“Yeah, the Suns are washed this year.”

“Luka completely broke this man lol.”

Devin Booker is one of the league’s best young stars, and he needs to do his talking on the court. Unfortunately, a loss like the one the Suns suffered in Game 7 can only be dealt with by winning when the season starts again. Booker being tired of the constant trolling is understandable, but posting things like this is unlikely to stop it.
