2 Min Read

Kendrick Perkins is a machine. No doubt about it. The NBA champion has become more famous now that he’s retired than when he was active. The former center has gotten used to giving hot takes and he doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.

He’s been very active talking about Michael Jordan and the GOAT debate, always siding with LeBron James on that matter. Moreover, he took things to the next level recently, claiming LeBron James is the best of the court athlete of all time. Perk has always received a lot of heat for his comments, but this time, fans made sure to let him know his opinion was not well received.

“We can debate about who’s the GOAT on the court,” Perkins wrote on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon. “[B]ut when it comes down to who’s the GOAT off the court it’s not even a DEBATE!!! LeBron James is the Greatest Athlete off court EVER.”

“Giving back is cool from anyone , I respect the effort!LeBron has a direct impact with culture and most importantly changing his community and others from the same dirt he was birthed from !!#Itaintapplestoapples”

Fans were quick to reply to Perkins, reminding him of some other big names that stood up for themselves and his peers in a time where things were a lot more complicated.

LeBron has done a lot with his foundations and his charity work, but to call him the greatest off the court athlete is a little stretch from Perkins.
