Nikola Jokic just proved to the world once again why he was on the cusp of three-peating as regular season MVP in Game 2 against the Phoenix Suns.

Jokic had a dominant 39 points and 16 rebounds in the win, making fans around the world hail him as the true MVP.

Fans criticized Joel Embiid’s public campaigning for the MVP that swung the odds toward him instead of Jokic.

This performance showed why Jokic is so highly regarded.

Many talking heads tried spinning unnecessary narratives to prop up other players that most fans saw right through.

Some fans didn’t care about the MVP being given to Jokic because he’s proven he’s the best player in the world.

The narrative of Jokic being a bad playoff performer was busted tonight.

More fans hailed him as the MVP.

Three-time MVP may not happen, but tomorrow’s MVP announcement will have fgans up in arms.

Jokic has said before that he personally doesn’t care about the MVP trophy being awarded to him as long as his team will have success. Hopefully, he can continue this run of form and lead the Nuggets to their first-ever NBA Finals.

Will Nikola Jokic Be Named MVP?

MVP voting closed at the end of the regular season and Jokic ended up falling in the rankings towards the final month. The Nuggets had sealed the one-seed which led to Jokic reducing his minutes and production drastically while Embiid was putting up 50-point performances to put his name over the others. Michael Malone has said his team doesn’t care if Jokic wins the MVP.

“I know what motivates Nikola Jokic, myself, and the rest of the guys in that locker room. It’s not the MVP.”

The series isn’t over as the Nuggets have to defend their 2-0 lead as they head to Phoenix for Games 3 and 4. With the form the team is on and the defensive prowess they’ve shown in the playoffs, this may be the scariest team in the West right now.
