Bleacher Report

There is no doubt that there are many people who are not upset with Ben Simmons’ performance in the second round of the playoffs. Ben Simmons stopped driving to the rim and being aggressive, and many have blamed that as the reason for the 76ers falling short this season.

However, it seems as though there are still people who back Ben Simmons. Reddit user Rahul____Raja has recently discovered that Ben Simmons’ brother and shooting coach, Liam Simmons, has been liking Twitter comments criticizing Doc Rivers and Joel Embiid for not backing Simmons in the post-season press conference. While Liam Simmons’ Twitter account had since been switched to private, the Reddit user included screenshots of the liked Tweets.

It is fair to suggest that Simmons would feel less confident without his co-star and coach backing him up. However, Ben Simmons himself didn’t do great during that series, and it seems as though Joel Embiid was simply disappointed at the moment about the outcome of that series. Hopefully, Ben Simmons is able to bounce back from his performances and fulfil the superstar potential that many have seen in him. There’s no doubt that Ben Simmons is a talented player, and that he can definitely contribute to winning basketball.
