Bol Bol Is Eligible For 2021 Rookie Of The Year Award, Even After Debut In Orlando

2 Min Read

Good news for one of the sensations of the NBA bubble, Bol Bol. The Denver Nuggets first-year center has received great news about his chances to earn the Rookie of the Year award. Bol has made quite an impression in the Orlando bubble and it was believed that once he made his debut in the NBA restart, he’d miss the chance to be considered for the award.

This season Ja Morant looks like the clear winner but Bol can start making his case this season. During his first game at the bubble, Bol recorded 16 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks against the Wizards last week.

Tim Bontemps of ESPN announced that players who make their debut at the bubble will still be in consideration for the ROY next campaign.

The NBA recently announced that the 2020 NBA awards will be given based on the performances from October through March. Bol was sidelined during that time and he joined the Nuggets in Orlando, where he’s drawing a lot of attention after recent performances.

He’s been great for the Nuggets and the future looks bright for the big man. It’s unlikely that he plays in the playoffs so most of the things we’ll see from Bol will happen in the seeding games. He’s ready to prove everybody wrong and the start tells you that he can do big things in the association.
