About an hour ago, it was revealed four Brooklyn Nets had tested positive for coronavirus. Even though the names weren't revealed, now we've known one of them, and is none other than their expected-to-be leader, Kevin Durant.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Durant tested positive for the illness, as the player himself revealed the information.
"Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We're going to get through this," he said, according to Charania.
KD was sidelined this season after he tore his ACL last season during the NBA Finals. This is another hit for Durant, who were the main character of rumors saying he could return to action this season, after the NBA resumed its action.
If that was a real possibility, now things look more complex for Durantula. Still, the message from him is that everybody needs to remain in quarantine until everything is under control.
