Clip Of LeBron James Playing Football In High School And Catching Passes Goes Viral: “He Was Great But Basketball Is Obviously His Best Sport.”

One of the biggest what-ifs in the history of the NBA is what would have happened if LeBron James had chosen to play football after high school instead of basketball. James’ career has made him a candidate for the title of GOAT in the sport, although he might need a few more championships to get some consensus. That almost didn’t happen, though, as LeBron could have played in the NFL instead.

He revealed that even as an NBA star in 2011, he had offers from the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks to play in the NFL. And LeBron’s high school highlights make that easy to believe, Bron was an excellent receiver and a very highly rated prospect when he played high school football. When asked to compare his game to an NFL player, James mentioned none other than one of the greatest receivers ever, Randy Moss.

And now, his highlights from school have gone viral on social media once again, with many fans commenting on his talents in the sport he chose not to pursue.

“He was great but basketball is obviously his best sport.”

“LeTouchdown.”

“It’s not fair how good the dude is at multiple sports, man.”

“Bron has always been a beast bro, this is some mad potential he was showing.”

“Looking like TO.”

“Man he was already huge.”

“He’s not trash but he would’ve never been the great in football….basketball was obviously his golden sport.”

“Made the QB look like he was Aaron Rodgers.”

“I’m sure they told him not to run too fast.”

“Bro at first glance he looks like Terrell Owens lol.”

“Would’ve been crazy seeing him in the NFL!”

“Would be top 3 all time in any sport.”

“Looking at how big Bron is in these videos, that was unfair to those kids, man.”

“LeBron James really is just one of the greatest athletes of all time.”

“His route running is actually solid, Bron always had the vision.”

After playing 2 seasons of football in high school, James was considered Ohio’s top prospect. And knowing his drive and work ethic, if he had chosen to play football instead, he would have probably retired as one of the greatest ever in that sport as well. However, his exploits in basketball and everything he has done to change the game will always be a far more impactful legacy to leave behind.
