Jordan Clarkson’s name has been famous recently around the NBA because of his actions on the court, showing a willingness to throw hands against rivals. This has become an issue for the Utah Jazz player, but he’s not backing down against a fight, apparently.

After first squaring up against Jonathan Kuminga of the Golden State Warriors, Clarkson starred in another controversial moment when he committed a big foul on Desmond Bane, squared up again, and was ejected from the game.

So far, he hasn’t thrown any punches, but Clarkson has shown that he’s ready to go all the way. He even received some praise from boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, who sees some potential in the guard. However, not everybody thinks he can fight, and Bane made it clear recently.

Desmond Bane Doesn’t Think Jordan Clarkson Can Actually Fight

During a recent conversation on JJ Redick’s The Old Man and the Three, the Memphis Grizzlies player talked about his scuffle with Clarkson and if he thought he would beat the Jazz guard in a fight. Bane claimed that Clarkson isn’t like that, and so far, he hasn’t thrown any punches.

“I don’t even think that that is like a question. I think Jordan Clarkson’s not really the fighting type, you know; I think he’s like 0-4 so far, four square-ups, no punches thrown,” Bane said, laughing.

Just like the Memphis Grizzlies with their antics, it seems like Clarkson is earning a bad reputation and comments around the NBA. It’ll be interesting to say if they go all the way next time, they clash on the court.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies keep playing well and being one of the best teams in the West, while the Utah Jazz decreased their level and are now in play-in tournament spots. The Jazz and Grizzlies play again on February 15, and we’ll see if these two finish their business or if they simply bury the hatchet.
